Hi, my name is Maria Kyriacou and I am your Students’ Union (SU) President for 2011/12.
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of you to the University of East London Students’ Union. The Students’ Union is an independent, student-led and student focused organisation dedicated to making sure your time at University is as enjoyable as possible. Your time here isn’t just about assignments and exams: it is also about your personal development as an individual, meeting new people and discovering new interests and experiences.
The SU has a number of opportunities for you to get involved in and to make friends through, such as societies, being a programme rep, volunteering and getting involved with the local community.
You’ll find plenty of fun events, organised trips and themed nights open to you, too. We also have a team of sabbatical and part time officers, who are students like yourself, available to support you throughout your time at University.
