The result of the recent referendum on the changes proposed to the Baord of Trustees is as follows:
Total votes cast: 1139
Votes in favour: 688 (62%)
Votes against: 424 (38%)
Although there was a majority in favour of the proposed changes, the quorum was not achieved. Quorum means at least 10% of members must vote in the referendum for the result to be valid. Changes to the articles of association also requires two-thirds of the votes to be cast in favour of the proposal. Therefore, the result is not binding.
The Board of Trustees will consider how to proceed at a later date.
