Black History Month
This October, we have organised a series of events to celebrate Black History Month with our students, celebrate Black culture, try something new, learn about important Black issues and discover more about Black history.
We recognise that racial injustice is still hugely widespread in our society, and we believe Black History Month is a great opportunity for us to all stand together and learn more about these issues. If you’re unsure of where to begin, we recommend you come along to some of our events.
You can also read our statement on how we stand in support of the Black Lives Matter movement and what we are working on to help improve the university experience for Black students
We have a packed schedule of events, with something for everyone! We’ll be hosting panel discussions, workshops, Netflix film parties, speed meets, and training events. Head over to our events calendar to book your tickets and find out more about how you can get involved.
In the meantime, we would love to hear from you about what Black History Month means to you. We invite you all to share your ideas on the board below.
