Rodeo Bull

Thursday, 23rd March

10:30 – 13:30

Docklands Square

In collaboration with #WeAreInternational, this is a rescheduled event from the month of February where we were focusing on The Americas. UEL Students’ Union wanted to bring some western culture rodeo to your front door with a chance for students to ride a bucking bronco. Traditionally, a rider must stay atop a bucking bull for eight seconds to count as a qualified ride while holding tightly with one hand to a braided rope. Relative to The Americas, this sport can be seen in various parts of United States, Mexico, Guatemala, Canada, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Cuba, Brazil, Argentina, and Chile. This event is free for UEL students and staff! Please direct all queries to Shona Cooper

AGM (Annual General Meeting) – Sam may have sent this to you already

Thursday, 23rd March

12:00 – 14:00

Main Lecture Theatre

The Students’ Union’s Annual and General Meeting is your place to have your voice heard.

These meetings allow all students to have a voice, submit a motion and vote on motions, and set the political direction of your Union to give you the best possible student experience.

Any student can write a motion which directs the Union’s activity, policy and states what the students of UEL believe and what they, as members of the Students' Union, will do about it.

Motions can be about anything from changes to happening in your programme or where we stand on environmental issues. So if you want to shape your Union, and want to change your world: come to the General Meeting!

To find out more on how to write a motion please visit:https://www.uelunion.org/democracy/generalmeetings/writingamotion/

Refreshments will be provided, and you will automatically be entered into an Amazon voucher raffle upon admission!
