This February UELSU LGBT Society is organising a series of events to celebrate LGBT+ Month.


WEEK 1: Coming out Week

Tuesday 2nd & Wednesday 3rd February
A stall will be set up in the Atrium - East Building at Docklands Campus with information about coming out.

Thursday 4th February
5pm - 8pm in the SU Lounge (NB.G.01)
Film Screening: Cracks
A look at the lives and relationships among girls at an elite boarding school.?

WEEK 2: Music & Culture Week

Wednesday 10th February
A stall will be set up in the Atrium - East Building at Docklands Campus with information about LGBT artists and musicians in popular culture.

Thursday 11th February

Film Screening: The Imitation Game
During World War II, mathematician Alan Turing tries to crack the enigma code with help from fellow mathematicians.

Film Screening: Velvet Goldmine
In 1984, British journalist Arthur Stuart investigates the career of 1970s glam superstar Brian Slade, who was heavily influenced in his early years by hard-living and rebellious American singer Curt Wild.

Film Screening: Albert Nobbs
Albert Nobbs struggles to survive in late 19th century Ireland, where women aren't encouraged to be independent. Posing as a man, so she can work as a butler in Dublin's most posh hotel, Albert meets a handsome painter and looks to escape the lie she has been living.
