Become a trustee

We are looking for one staff member from the University of East London to join our Board of Trustees.

The Board comprises three student officer trustees, two student trustees and four other external trustees; each bringing their own insights and experience to the role.

You will be a resourceful, determined and committed individual who will help the Board to continue to improve the services that we provide for our students.  The right candidate will be a strong communicator, demonstrate leadership skills, and will be able to help set strategic direction.

The Students’ Union is currently creating an exciting new community engagement strategy, which should be in place by June and you will help manage the process to drive our organisational goals forwards.

We are an organisation that embraces change; we continually assess our work, progress and plans so that we can help improve the lives of our students. 
 

Skills that we are looking for

The organisation recently carried out an audit of skills and experiences of its Board. As a result, we are aware there are gaps in skills and knowledge that we would like to fill through our new trustees. This includes:

•    risk management
•    impact measurement and evaluation
•    digital delivery
