Mental health awareness week
Mental health awareness week will be taking place from 10-16 May 2021.
As we come to the end of a long lockdown to manage a pandemic that has significantly impacted the way we go about our day-to-day lives, taking care of our mental health is more important than ever.
This year’s theme for mental health awareness week is nature, and a time when we have been locked down and our bedrooms have turned into classrooms, millions of us might have learned that nature is crucial for our mental health.
As your Students’ Union, we think it’s important that we all use this time to reflect on how we all manage our mental health. Many of us have dedicated lots of time to make sure we maintain physical health, but our mental health is often neglected.
We will be hosting a number of events this week to help you reconnect with and nurture your mental health. Throughout the week will be hosting meditation and yoga sessions, as well as a few nature drawing sessions, hosted by your activities and opportunities officer, Insia.
