Southend on Sea offers a unique seaside experience with its long pier, beautiful beaches, and a range of attractions. Exploring our local seaside town is the perfect way to spend a sunny day. This is a self-led trip - once you've arrived, you're free to explore however you want!
In registering for this event, you will be provided with a bus transfer to and from Southend-on-sea. There will be a pick up point at the Docklands and Stratford - see below. The bus will depart Stratford bus station at 08:30 and Docklands at 09:00. To return, we’ll depart Southend-on-sea at 16:00, returning via Docklands first (around 17:30/18:00) and then Stratford. You should arrive at least 15 minutes before the stated departure time. Tickets are for students only. You can only purchase one per person.
Look out for a staff member in a light blue t-shirt who will be joining you on the trip. Any additional travel costs - e.g. getting to and from the bus stop - will be at your own expense.
Tickets cost £8 until 23:59 on Wednesday 24 April. They will then increase to £12.

Stratford pick-up point
The pick-up point is outside the Moxy Hotel, 86 Great Eastern Road, London, E15 1GR. Google Maps What3words (edge.ending.stored). When you arrive, please look for our staff member who will be carrying a blue sign.
Docklands pickup point
Our staff member will be on the bus, not at the Docklands bus stop, so don't worry if you don't see them at the bus stop when you arrive. The bus is sometimes delayed by traffic when travelling from Stratford, so it may not arrive exactly on time.
The pickup point is at the bus stop on campus. This is located halfway along the road between East Building and SportsDock, next to Jamilah House and Kwame House. Google Maps what3words (juror.ears.trials)
