New to London? This event is not to be missed, join us in exploring some of the best sights in London.
We'll start at the SU lounge at Docklands Campus, where you'll get into travel groups for an afternoon of exploring one of the best cities in the world!
Each group will be given guides on how to get to some of London's best sights. Don't forget to tag us in your photo's on social media @uelunion, best photo of the day wins a prize!
This is a free event. You will require a contactless bank card or oyster card with approximately £10 travel credit to be able to participate. If you do not have either of these, you can purchase a visitor's oyster card above which will grant you travel access for the day. These can be picked up from the SU lounge on the day of the event.
The cost of the visitor oyster card is as follows:
- £5 for the oyster card
- £10 travel credit.
After the event, you can speak to staff at stratford station to change your visitors oyster card for a student oyster card after you have finished enrolment. Your student oyster card can then be used for the rest of your time in London.
The guided routes will take you approximately 3-4 hours to complete and return to campus. However you can finish the event when your group is happy to. This is a self-guided sightseeing trip but you can call an emergency number provided on the day, if you need assistance.
