We have three vacancies on our Students’ Union’s Board of Trustee: two for students and one for a University staff member. This is only open to current University of East London students and staff members. If you are interested in supporting the Students’ Union in its aims to empower and support every UEL student, then we want to hear from you.
The Board of Trustees oversees the operations of the Students’ Union. It is responsible for our strategy, budget and governance. It is important to make sure our Board reflects the diverse student population at UEL, which is why we want to hear from all students and staff members, but particularly individuals from the following groups:
- Self-define as female, Non-Binary or Trans
- Black or White students or staff members
- From the UK or European Union
This is a voluntary role and therefore unpaid. We will cover any reasonable expenses such as travel expenses for meetings; however, meetings will take place on Teams for the foreseeable.
To find out more about the role before you apply, join us at one of our information sessions. These are short briefing sessions so that you can find out more about the role and ask any questions you may have. You don’t have to book in advance. Dates are available here.
The deadline for applications is at 23:59 on Tuesday 01 December. This process is by application and panel interview, not an election. The interview will take place on 14 or 15 December. Candidates must submit a CV and a personal statement of no more than two A4 pages to email@example.com
For more information, please read the recruitment pack in advance of submitting your application.
